Postcomm issues a long term licence to Express Limited

23 April 2003

Postcomm today granted its third long term postal licence to Express Ltd, which will use its milk delivery network to provide postal services to business customers.

The licence covers bulk mail, consolidation and enhanced document exchange services. The new standard licence, which will have a minimum life of seven years, replaces the interim postal licence formerly held by Express, which will now be revoked.

The document detailing Postcomm’s decision and the text of the licence is available from Postcomm at 6 Hercules Road, London, SE1 7DB.

Notes for Editors

In addition to Royal Mail, Postcomm has already awarded long term postal licences to Hays Commercial Services Ltd and TPG Post UK Ltd. Nine other companies hold interim licences, which have a minimum life of 12 months.
