Postcomm agrees licence modification for TNT

Postcomm today agreed a modification to an interim licence held by TNT UK Ltd.
Currently the company holds two interim licences to provide mail services to two financial services businesses. The modification, which relates to the internal mail services, will enable it to provide internal mail services and off-site mailroom services to customers other than Lloyds TSB plc. The modified licence limits the number of items to be conveyed to 40.5 million per year.

Interim licences normally last for 12 months. In this instance TNT has said it will apply for a standard licence – which lasts a minimum of seven years – when these become available. Standard licences will not come into effect before 1 January 2003.
